Born and raised in Kailua, Hawaii, Tahiti is the youngest daughter of legendary entertainer, Augie Rey. After years of him trying to keep her out of the business, he finally gave in and let her follow in his footsteps, but only with his guidance. Ever since she has called him her “Dad-ager”. “He helps me keep my head on straight, points me in the right direction, keeps the sharks away, and does it all with a ton of love and pride.”, Tahiti says. Now 5 years later, Tahiti Rey is an accomplished singer/songwriter with a Hawaii Music Award & Na Hoku Nomination under her belt for her debut album “Acoustic Beauty”. Her recent pairing with accomplished singer/songwriter/guitarist/pianist, Jason Alan, has taken her live performances to an entirely new level. “It is so refreshing and humbling to be able to work along side someone who challenges me, encourages me, and supports me. I am very excited for the music we will make together.”, Tahiti says.
Jason Alan
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, and having spent the last 15+ years in Hawaii, Jason feels truly at home here in the islands. After years of studying and composing for his Bachelors of Music from the University of Hawaii, the adventure of auditioning and becoming a finalist for the boy-band “O-Town”, he has really found his purpose with his talents. “I have been through, seen, and heard enough to know that I have something to give, something to say, and will find a way to connect with those who want to hear my message. “, Jason says. His multifaceted talents are hard to match. He’s a classically trained pianist, guitarist, and hits Tenor notes high enough to make your skin tingle. Jason says, “I look foward to sharing myself with those who are not afraid to hear and feel the corners of my soul. “
We saw you tonight at the Hyatt. We are visiting from Vancouver BC for a few days. Loved reading about you and really enjoyed your music tonight (we bought your cd).
it was a pleasant surprise to find out your Augie’s Daughter. I use to watch your Dad at the Hilton Garden Bar after my Gig on the Hilton Catamaran 1970s. Nice sweet voice very talented. looking forward to seeing you perform live.
Just wanted to give you guys a big mahalo once again, for being such a big part of our dream wedding at Waimanalo Beach on August 19th!
Best surprise EVER!!
I was lucky enough to stumble across you playing at The Edition Hotel in July while I was spending 3 weeks on my own celebrating my birthday, learning to surf and bouncing back from a divorce. I truly believe everyone – and everything comes into your life for a reason and you and your music was everything I needed on that visit. To this day I play your CD and it takes me back that magical night on The Edition patio…Thank you and keep making the beautiful music that you do…Mahalo..
You both have such great talents. Tahiti your voice was heaven to listen to. Jason you have such an amazing talent. I love to hear you sing! Well I saw your performance at a reception at Marriot Hotel, Waikiki. I am a Maui girl and I haven’t heard a beautiful performance like what you did.
