I had such a wonderful New Years Eve! I was busy to start off. I had 2 gigs that evening, but was able to dig out just in time to make it to ThirtynineHotel for the fireworks and a New Years Eve kiss from my boyfriend. They had a Circus Themed night, so he was a Clown!
Awww, so this year has been a really fast one for me. Time flew by. I can’t help but look back and feel so grateful and blessed.
There have been some truly great moments: Winning a Hawaii Music Award, being nominated for a Na Hoku Hanohano Award, playing 4-7 nights a week consistently, selling albums, Aiden starting Kindergarten and me going back to college, and meeting a great man that cherishes me and my son.
There have also been some tough times: my sister and nieces moving across the globe, almost dying because of an intestinal blockage, spending 10 days in the hospital and dealing with the financial repercussions of not having medical insurance, and loosing my second Uncle.
I have high hopes for 2010. Aiden and I will have a place all our own starting January, and I want to settle in and truly make a home for him.
Some things I want to accomplish:
Learn to play the guitar well enough to start writing more songs and play in my gigs, start exercising again like I was before my surgery to get strong and healthy, cook more from home healthy food for my son, figure out how to promote myself in the music world to create a following, and have enough songs ready for my next album!!
So have a good one folks, 2010! Cheers!
