Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays!
December was a great month for me! My munchkin turned 5 on December 6th and we had a huge blowout for him! We went all out with swimming, balloon maker, games, and food.
The most stressful part of the entire day was making Aiden’s birthday cakes! So, I promised Aiden cakes that looked like big cookies, cause the “Cloudy” movie was all BIG food!
SO, I buy these really awesome cake molds from William Sanoma with the very expensive coordinateing cake mix and frosting. I spend 3 hours baking and mixing, and when I place the frosting layer together with the cake layers, the frosting overflows over the edges and they look like big blobs of frosting, not BIG cookies! I was devasted. My poor boyfriend, had to console me as tears poured out. This was now at 2am. The only thing to do was start all over again in the morning. 8am, I went back to the store, bought all new ingredients, and decided to make a 3rd layer out of white cake to hold the brown layers up. It worked, thank God, and Aiden had his BIG cookies. Success.
Music world has been just as great too! Singing and keeping busy is such a blessing. I’m singing at some new great places. My favorite is Apartm3nt in the Century Center. The atmosphere is like home to me. Classy, cool, clean, comfortable. We are there Weds 8-11pm.
Other cool new place is Trump on the Waikiki Beachwalk. They aren’t offically open right now, just testing out the waters, but I hope to continue to be there in the months to come.
Still rocking the Hyatt on Thurs & Sat 6-9pm, and Thirtynine Hotel on Fridays 6:30-8:30pm. Always check my schedule on www.myspace.com/TahitiRey
I hope the Holiday Season treats you all well. Appreciate all the people in your lives, and cherish them with all your hearts. It’s not about your presents, it’s about your presence in their lives.
Love & Aloha,
Tahiti
